CLASSIC 107!** News An Interview With Canadian Pianist Maxim Bernard Written by Michael Wolch Published: 28 March 2016

Maxim is in town to perform on Sunday April 3rd. Classic 107 host Michael Wolch caught up with the star Canadian pianist over the phone. Maxim will be performing as part of the Women's Musical Club of Winnipeg's 2015/2016 Season. He has put together a program in which he recreates the famous, historical concert Horowitz in Moscow. The programme consisted of Mozart, Scarlatti, Chopin, Rachmaninov and more and to this day remains one of the most memorable moments in Classical music history.

Michael started off by asking Maxim how he started playing.... **Click on the link:** http://www.classic107.com/…/943-an-interview-with-maxim-ber…

Maxim has studied the piano with Andre Laplante, Menahem Pressler; earned his Master's and Doctoral in piano performance from Indiana University; won several music competitions and toured many countries around the world. He also did not start playing the piano until he was 13 years old! So, when I had a chance to chat with Maxim before his trip to Winnipeg I wanted to know what inspired him to start piano at that age.
